Dr. Young graduated from Cornell University Medical College, New York, NY. His neurosurgical residency was accomplished at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He also completed a fellowship in complex spinal surgery at New York University Medical Center, New York, NY. He is a member of the Cervical Spine Research Society and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Before coming to Fort Wayne, he was the director of the Neuro-Spine Program at Temple University Hospital and Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at Temple University Medical School.

Dr. Young became a neurosurgeon because, as a specialty, it provides the opportunity to have an immediately positive impact on people’s lives. “There are few things more gratifying than having patients tell you that their pain was relieved and their function improved by a surgery that I performed,” he says.

In his spare time, Dr. Young enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
