		Loi K. Phuong, M.D. Neurosurgery

Dr. Phuong treats patients with both brain and spine diseases. He completed his neurosurgery training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, after receiving his medical degree from the University of California at Irvine, where he graduated with honors. In addition, he completed a fellowship in molecular medicine at Mayo Clinic, where he published research in malignant brain tumors. Dr. Phuong specializes in brain-tumor surgery as well as spine surgery, particularly cervical and lumbar disc disease.

Dr. Phuong has presented at several national neurosurgical organization meetings. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
 
The satisfaction of seeing patients improve and return to their normal lives is the best part of being a neurosurgeon, he says.
 
In his spare time, Dr Phuong enjoys hiking, gardening and spending time with family.
